About Austin​
Austin is a Writer & Producer whose journey began on-stage at a young age. Early experiences acting in musicals awakened a lifelong passion for storytelling, creative project management, and music. Now Austin is a decorated writer, classically trained pianist, and successful producer.
Austin graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Business with a major in Management. He launched his career as an assistant at a talent agency, where he was responsible for all operations concerning talent scouting, video production, and talent submissions. Transitioning into script development at another agency helped Austin sharpen his storytelling skills, exposing him to common pitfalls and inspiring him to refine his own approach to writing and development. He then gained experience in post-production and production at NBCUniversal and through various freelance projects before stepping into his current role as a Video Writer & Producer at an educational video company. There, Austin handles scriptwriting, manages video production logistics, scouts talent, and directs both crews and talent during shooting, acting as a guiding creative and managerial force for each project from development to completion.
Recently, Austin joined the Hollywood Radio and Television Society and was selected for two competitive programs: the JHRTS Mentorship Program, where he was mentored by an Emmy-nominated producer and composer, and the Writer’s Room Season 2, a TV writing practicum that simulates a professional writer's room. He is also expanding his skill set with certificates in Creative Project Management (CPMA), Game Design (CalArts), and Music Business (Berklee College of Music).
Austin believes entertainment has the power to inspire and change lives. Thus, he strives to create unique and invigorating experiences for audiences everywhere.

Did You Know?
He's A Lover of Food Network's Alton Brown!
After taking a Food Network quiz by chef Alton Brown, Austin earned one of the top three test scores out of all Columbus, OH test takers! When later attending Brown's 03/18/22 Columbus concert, Beyond the Eats (for which the quiz was for), he was pulled on stage for a surprise quiz game against the other top two Columbus scorers; he came in second place!
He Would Love to Visit Italy!
If given the chance, Austin would choose to visit Italy out of any other country in the world! From the beautiful culture, fresh food and wine, to his rich Italian family history, there is no other place that can top Austin's list.
He can Bake and Cook!
You can always find Austin in the kitchen preparing something. A lover of both cooking and baking, you might just catch him making pasta or pizza from scratch, preparing chicken cattiatore, or setting out some chocolate chip cookies and bocconottis for his family to snack on.
He's a History Lover!
From annually attending renaissance faires, recreating meals from hundreds of years ago, to constantly consuming media about Europe's past, Austin is fascinated with history!
He has Two Dogs!
Meet Austin's family pets! Gordon (left) is seven years old and a sweet, loyal companion. He particularly loves carrots and sweet potatoes! Greta (right) is the newest addition to the Cappetta household. She is an energetic puppy who loves getting into trouble and playing fetch with the family!
He Can't Choose: He Loves Comedies and Dramas!
A huge fan of both comedies and dramas, Austin loves watching a little bit of everything. His favorite show of all time is Game of Thrones, but he is also a huge fan of Community, The Curse of Oak Island, Attack on Titan, and any films by Mel Brooks!
